Charles Lewis
President of America's Bluegrass, Inc. |
Charles is Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of America's Bluegrass, Inc.
A native Eastern Kentuckian, Charles was educated at Fairview High School, trained in Business and Political Science at Eastern Kentucky University and attended the University of Kentucky Graduate School of Economics in Lexington, Ky.
Virtually his entire business career, Charles has been involved in advertising and sales promotion; first with a major tire company, he rose from a retail store manager through various positions to become National Sales Promotion Manager in New York City. |
He left New York City (and who wouldn't) and returned to his beloved Eastern Kentucky and leaped headlong into the concert production, promotion and hosting business. This coincided nicely with his positions in the retail automobile business, first as a salesperson and finally as dealership General Manager.
Concerts and performers that he has produced and hosted include country artists George Jones, Marty Robbins, Johnny Paycheck, Connie Smith, Billy Ray Cyrus, John Anderson, Tim McGraw, Mel McDaniel, The Oak Ridge Boys. He has also produced and hosted such Bluegrass and Gospel groups as The IIIrd. Tyme Out, Doyle Lawson, Ralph Stanley, The Lonesome River Band, Rhonda Vincent, Cherryholmes, Larry Sparks, Dave Evans, Ernie Thacker, The Osborne Brothers, Bobby Osborne, The Lewis Family, Larry Cordle, Ronnie Reno, Don Rigsby, Melvin Goins, Tim Surret, Joe Isaacs, The Freemans, The Kingsmen, The Florida Boys, and many, many more local and National groups.
But Charles' true love is Bluegrass Gospel Music! As well as being President of America's Bluegrass, Inc., he also hosts the weekly, syndicated TV show The America's Bluegrass Gospel Show.
